Spots available in welding program as school resumes

As schools reawaken, the Welding & Fitting program in Aylmer, Quebec, is excited to welcome prospective students who are still seeking opportunities for career growth and development. With a few spots remaining in their upcoming intake, the program is offering free tuition for Quebec residents and a chance to embark on a journey into the world of welding.
Situated in the heart of Aylmer, the Welding & Fitting program offers a comprehensive curriculum spanning 60 weeks. This extensive program covers various aspects of welding and fitting, including health and safety, fabrication, blueprint reading, and proficiency in four distinct welding processes. The courses are designed to equip students with all the skills and accreditations necessary to secure gainful employment upon graduation.
The demand for skilled tradespeople is currently on the rise, and welding is no exception. Graduates of the Welding & Fitting program leave with a solid foundation and the expertise required to excel in the welding industry, ensuring a pathway to fulfilling career opportunities.

"Whether you're looking to switch careers or have just completed high school but are seeking an alternative to traditional post-secondary education, our Welding & Fitting program could be the ideal fit for you."
The program is housed in the state-of-the-art facility of the West Quebec Career Centre (WQCC), offering students access to up-to-date equipment and the chance to learn about advanced technologies in the welding and fabrication field. The program is divided into 29 different modules that comprehensively cover all facets of the welding and fitting trade.
Prospective students interested in exploring the Welding & Fitting program are invited to visit the facility at 100 Frank Robinson in Gatineau. The program is hosting an open house where individuals can tour the state-of-the-art shop and get a firsthand look at the learning environment. The open house will take place from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, allowing attendees to witness the facilities and interact with instructors.
The program operates on a 60-week schedule with start dates available in both January and September. Classes are held from Monday to Friday, beginning at 8:30 AM and concluding at 3:20 PM. The daily schedule is split into two blocks of three hours each, with a 50-minute lunch break.
Financial concerns need not deter potential students from pursuing this promising career path. The Welding & Fitting program not only offers free tuition for Quebec residents but also provides several funding opportunities to assist students in financing their education and investing in their future.
