Passing of former Pontiac MP Robert Bertrand

The family Robert Bertrand announced his passing May 17. The popular MP from Fort-Coulonge died in Shawville at the age of 69. Mr Bertrand was Liberal MP for Pontiac-Gatineau-Labelle from 1993 to 2004.

He went on to the Congress of Aboriginal Peoples where he sat as chief. This organization helps the 70% of first nations people in Canada who live off-reserve.

His family and friends mourn his passing and say they are grateful it was not a long battle with cancer.
