Connexions : new Wakefield office opened

September 28 was a big day for Connexions Resource Centre, which serves to link members of the English-speaking community with the local health and social services. That day marked the official opening of their new satellite office in Wakefield.  It is located on the second floor at 721 River Road.

Connexions has grown over the years, now numbering a staff of 12. 

The reception brought together Connexions staff. present and past, board members, and friends and members of the community.   Board President Cary O’Brien and Executive Director Danielle Lanyi were there to welcome all comers.

In addition to the grand opening, the evening was the occasion for a vernissage for works of Maham artist Nathan Vanek.  He confesses to being a newbie, with no formal artistic education.  We found some of his creations to be thought-provoking, but you can judge for yourself.
