Collines-de-L'Outaouais police conduct drug search resulting in two arrests in La Pêche

On December 5, drug searches were conducted by Collines-de-l’Outaouais police at two residents in La Pêche. One at 29 chemin de la Beurrerie and another at 713 chemin Cléo-Fournier.
Officers seized 35 kilograms of cannabis, 46 cannabis plants, 500 methamphetamine tablets, equipment for processing and production, as well as a 2017 Dodge Ram truck.
Authorities proceeded to arrest a 64-year-old man who was known to police at the time as well as a 58-year-old woman that had no criminal record. Possible charges include, sale of cannabis, possession of cannabis for the purpose of sale, possession of substances with the purpose of trafficking and trafficking of drugs.
The search was the product of a several-week investigation, which stemmed from information authorities received from the public.
