Chelsea Prepares for 150^th

Chelsea held a press conference on November 27 to introduce an illustrated version of the municipal logo, to celebrate Chelsea’s 150^th anniversary in 2025.

Mayor Pierre Guénard announced that in January Chelsea will set out a calendar of celebratory events, including sports, cultural activities, and heritage celebrations.  “We will cultivate our future while we celebrate our roots,” he said.

The mayor provided a Chelsea timeline.  It became Chelsea in 1990, when Judy Grant was mayor.  In 1875, Hull West was established, including what are now Chelsea and Cantley.  That date gives us the 150 years.
