Bouquinart hosts 10th Edition of 'August 12, I Buy a Quebec Book' event

For the 10th edition of the annual provincial event "August 12, I buy a Quebec book," book enthusiasts are in for a treat at Bouquinart. On this special day, the bookstore is gearing up with an array of exciting activities featuring local creators from the Outaouais region, an extensive collection of Quebec books, suggested favorite readings, book giveaways, and extended store hours to indulge in the pleasure of reading.
Bouquinart will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., providing ample time for bookworms to peruse the diverse selection of Quebec literature and immerse themselves in literary treasures.
The event is further enriched by the presence of esteemed creators who will be available for book signings throughout the day. From 10 a.m. to noon, visitors will have the opportunity to meet the talented youth illustrator, France Cormier, and the renowned youth author, Andrée Poulin, both esteemed residents of Aylmer. Delve into the captivating world of children's and pre-teen literature as you explore their magnificent works.
Between 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., the spotlight shifts to the accomplished author and poet, Clara Lagacé, a native of Aylmer, and the talented comic strip scriptwriter, Sylvain Lemay. Discover Clara's captivating debut novel, released last fall, and be moved by Sylvain's touching story.
The day concludes with an enchanting encounter from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., as the celebrated poet couple from Chelsea, Céline de Guise and Michel Côté, grace the event.
